1回目のワクチン接種と、ボディチェックに病院へ。
毎回のことですが、ワクチン接種の後は、子猫たちは食事もせず、全く動かなくなります。熱も少しでます。いつも元気で走り回っているだけに、わかっていてもとても心配になります。
いつも元気すぎて、写真の９０％以上はブレてボツになるのですが、今日は大人しいから、静止画が撮れる！まあ、少しでも早く元気になってほしいですが。
いつも一番大きくて元気なパンちゃん（メス）が、ずっと動きません。低いプレイペンの敷居も乗り越えられないようで、プレイペンの外に出られません。足がしびれているようで、ひきずっています。さすがにちょっと心配になって病院に連絡すると、「ノーマルな状態です」とのことで、少し安心しました。小さい子は、突然、状態が変わるときがあるので、気をつけなければなりません。
その日は、何も食べず、ずっとうずくまっていた3匹。次の日の朝には、猫缶を少し食べられました。3匹ともが同じ症状なので、こういうものなのだろうとわかります。1日半経つと、いつものように元気になってキャットタワーにも普通にのぼれました。一安心です。
First vaccine shot and a trip to the hospital for a check-up.
Every time after the vaccine shot, the kittens won’t eat and become completely inactive. They also run a slight fever. Even though they’re usually energetic and running around, it’s still very worrying.
They’re usually too energetic, so more than 90% of the photos come out blurry and get discarded, but today they’re calm, so I can take still shots! Well, I hope they recover their energy soon, even if just a little.
The usually largest and most energetic Pan-chan (female) hasn’t moved at all. She seems unable to overcome the low threshold of the playpen and can’t get out. Her legs seem numb, and she’s dragging them. I got a bit worried and contacted the hospital, but they said, “It’s a normal condition,” which relieved me a bit. With small ones, there are times when their condition suddenly changes, so I need to be careful.
On that day, all three of them didn’t eat anything and just crouched down. By the next morning, they were able to eat a little bit of canned food. Since all three of them have the same symptoms, I understand that it must be something like this. After a day and a half, they returned to their usual energetic selves and were able to climb the cat tower as usual. I’m relieved now.
